This
adorable little girl is Shelly, our new Australian Shepherd puppy.
Shelly came home when she was eight weeks old and has settled in nicely.
We got her from a friend's dog who had puppies, and we got first pick. She
is currently thirteen weeks old and weighs around six or seven pounds.
That makes her about seven pounds of evil! She is very ferocious, when
you're around her be prepared to get licked to death! She loves to annoy
the neighbor's dog, Luna who is a Labrador Retriever and about twice her size.
Shelly has the most beautiful blue eyes, they shine so bright with
happiness whenever I look at her. She was the only puppy in the litter
that had the mom's blue eyes. Shelly loves living in sunny Florida, where
we can walk her down by the beach for her to dig a hole, take her to the
dog park or just walk around in the sun. She loves to bask in the sun, her
favorite spot is out on the deck right beside the palm tree.
One of Shelly's litter-mate sisters lives right down the street. So if she
wanted to she could play with her sister, who has been named Belle. Shelly
loves playing Tug-of-war and is pretty strong when trying to rip the rope
toy from your hands. She also loves destroying her Teddy bear, which is
now missing an eye, an ear and one of its arms. She still drags it into
her crate at night with her, but when morning comes around she's attacking
it. She loves the sprinkler too - she runs around it, tries to drink it
and barks at it when the water jets out. She is such a playful puppy! One
more thing, she also loves to nose around in things people leave on the
ground. She bites on the lid of my Coffee when I leave it!
I just adore her and her bright personality, and I hope for many great years with her!
