Riku
is a real sweetheart of a pooch, she's a Shiba Inu (Cream Color).
While stationed in Yokosuka, Japan I had decided to add a doggie to my
family. I originally began looking for a female Welsh Corgi, but after four
months of searching I was ready to give up when I saw Riku and instantly
fell in love with her! She was a three-month-old tiny little white puffball
with loads of energy.
Riku loves to chase anything (including other dogs, so I have to keep an
eye on her) and she will happily spend hours outside every day. She is
very affectionate pooch, she loves belly rubs and a good scratching behind
the ears. She is a bit shy when it comes to new people but after a few
days she will beg them for attention. lol. Her favorite activities are to
go jogging, chase squirrels, and eat cheese. She is very much like a cat -
she hates water, constantly cleans herself, and is a bit of a diva so she
loves to be pampered. Like her breed, she is very stubborn, intelligent,
and a bit aggressive which made training her difficult. But I love her
anyway and wouldn't change a thing!
