My
little Leo came to me just after my Dad passed away and just before my
Mom passed away all within five months. This was an unexpected happening.
They were my best friends always living close to me (for seventeen years, just
across the street). Leo has filled the void in my heart from the loss,
making it so much easier to accept, perhaps one of the reasons he is so
special is that his Birthday is the Anniversary date of my parents
wedding. I believe he was sent to me for a special reason!
Leo will give his paw and roll over when asked if he wants his chicken
snack. He will also run to the bedroom for night-night if asked if he is
ready he will come back out if he doesn't hear the alarm being set. When
he hears the alarm he then goes back and waits for me. He also knows his
fellow room-mates my four birds by names if I say the name of the bird he
runs to the appropriate cage. My son lives across the street with his
little four-pound Maltese that he loves and he know if I say do you want to see
Jelly Beans he runs and waits by the door. He is a loving very
affectionate guy that plasters himself next to me when I am at home. We
takes trips to the same hotel four times a year and he even recognizes the
place and knows his way around. We always stay in the same room and he
knows when we get to the door he stops and waist before I get there. I
think he is the best companion anyone could wish for. He has taken a big
piece of my heart and turned it to mush!
