This
is Harvey! He is a rare blue, flower Shar Pei. When we brought him
home from the rescue, he had lots of health problems and required
multiple surgeries. For a while it was uncertain whether or not he'd
ever be able to regain his eyesight. He recovered completely and can see
just about anything. In his life before us, he belonged to a notorious
biker gang. It must have been a rough life because when he hears a
motorcycle, he cries and wants to run the other way.
He enjoys wrestling, playing with his toys, going on long walks and
making funny faces. (Actually, I think it's us who enjoys his funny
faces.) He's a real clown and will do almost anything to get attention.
Harvey's our fourth Shar Pei and by far he gives the most cuddles. He
loves meeting new people now, and gets upset if we don't allow him to
approach people on the street for a snuggle. People ask "can I touch
him?" and our reply is always "Yes! he insists!" He's such a good boy!
