This
is my beautiful baby girl Daisy. Daisy is the most incredible and
courageous dog you will ever meet and yet just a puppy. Never without a
smile on her face and tail wagging, she is always so happy to greet
everyone she meets. Daisy loves to go camping, swimming and hiking. She
has a favorite trail where she gets to play in the water.
Despite having a rough first year of life, it has never stopped Daisy from
staying positive and happy to give lots of love to her family and friends.
Daisy was diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Encephalitis about a
month ago. She became incredibly off balance and had quite a noticeable
head tilt. It was very difficult for Daisy to walk and enjoy the
activities she loves so much. The odds were against her, but she remained
positive and worked very hard to get through this.
Now you would never know it, because she is out running around and playing
just like she used to. She hasn't recovered 100% but she's getting there.
Thanks to the wonderful Veterinarians at the VEC in Toronto, Ontario (and
her parents), Daisy will be able to enjoy a few more years of life and
hopefully longer. There is no known cure yet for this disease. Daisy has
remained strong and will start her first set of chemotherapy treatments
later this month (to ensure a longer lifespan). This dog really has
changed my life. I never knew how much love you could have for a animal
until I met Daisy. She is by far one of the most special creatures in this
world. I couldn't imagine now being without her.
