Madie
is awesome for a number of reasons. She uses her hunting skills to
track down butterflies and jumps after minnows in shallow water. She hits me
in the head with her paw after I hit the snooze button in the morning to get
me up. She hides her bones underneath my pillow while I am sleeping. She
cries to go out when it rains, just to roll in the puddles. She goes to the
dog park and greets the people, not the dogs. She is overall an awesome
companion, keeps me laughing every day.
I grew up with golden retrievers my entire life. When I graduated from
college I wanted to get my own dog, and wanted to get a golden since our
family's were always loyal companions. She is your typical golden, always
curious, very friendly, and full of personality. She loves going to doggie
day camp, swimming, and digging holes in my parents backyard when we visit.
We call her 'Muddy Madie' for her favorite pastime of rolling in the mud.
