After
fourteen and a half years we lost our best friend, Peanut, a Lhasa
Apso, to old age. There was a huge void in our hearts so we decided to visit
the local animal shelter and luckily we found Pookie Bear and adopted him.
There had been some previous abuse in his short life, but he will never have
to worry about that again here with us. He has become a part of the family
and continues to be more relaxed and attached to us. We have grown to love
him and we hope he has a long safe life with us. I have nicknamed him Rocket
Man because when he runs so fast after his favorite green squeaky toy or
rawhide bone. Pookie is definitely Mama's boy. He is my wife's shadow and
sleeps just as close as he can get to her in bed. He loves the outdoors and
his walk twice a day.
