Sugar
Bear is our special needs Pug. Sugar Bear is a hero in my eyes. He
was born in July of 2006 and it quickly became apparent he was special. He
started hopping with his front legs together when he ran and tried to keep
up with our other pugs. I took Sugar Bear to several vets who had never
seen anything like him before. I finally took him to a specialist far away
to find the cause. Sugar Bear has a spinal defect which gets progressively
worse as he ages.
The vet told me he should be put down, that puppies with his condition
rarely last a year. Well Sugar Bear proved him wrong and in July he just
turned 5. He doesn't know he is special and scoots along with the other
pugs at our house. He has a heart of gold and is the happiest of all our
pugs. He is warm and loving and each day is a gift with our little super
man. We thank God He brought Sugar Bear into our lives.
Sugar Bear has a sweet personality. He loves everyone and almost seems to
smile. He is a couch potato and we have to carry him up and down the
stairs but he is affectionate and is quite the kisser. He really doesn't
know how special he is and we call him our Robo Pug.
