Cody, the Dog of the Day
Name: Cody
Age: Two and a half years old
Gender: Male Breed: Great Pyrenees
Home: Gainesville, Florida, USA

Cody (AKC Snowrivers Cody Jacob) was rescued by the Florida Great Pyrenees Club. I fostered the boy for them, and as He grew, he began to display traits that were in keeping with the temperament needed for a Pet Therapy Dog. I adopted Cody, then immediately enrolled him in a formal obedience school. He took first place, then went on to take/pass his Canine Good Citizen test. Cody now visits with the Veterans at the V.A. hospital here in Gainesville Florida, where he is always a welcome and cheering presence every Tuesday. When at home, he runs and plays with his four other Great Pyrenees brothers. The question that I am asked most often is "does he ever get dirty..." if they could see him after playtime, they would never have to ask that question again. Cody does not mind baths, he stands in place when commanded to do so. For Dogs as big as my guys are, when they come into my life, the very first thing that happens is that they are enrolled in formal obedience school, which makes everything else much easier! As I said before: Cody is a rescue - someone else's trash is now my treasure.
