This
is the love of my life, Niko, absolutely the best pet I've ever owned
(even though they're all pretty amazing). He was born September of 2006, I
don't know the exact day, so we just celebrate it on September 13th. He has
lived in a few different houses with me, ranging from Trail, BC all the way
out to Penticton, BC, our current residence. What makes him special is that
he was adopted. His old owners neglected him so much, and when I first
brought him home, he was very shy and would flinch if I moved too quickly.
After a few weeks, he warmed up, and with much patience and training, has
turned out to be a gigantic, cuddly, loving dog.
He has a sister, who happens to be a cat, named Marley, as well as his actual
brother, Ollie, who he looks identical to. He loves curling up with Marley
and cuddling for hours at a time, I always catch them all snuggled up together.
He also get quite a few compliments on his color, seeing as how red isn't a
common color for his breed. His favorite things are treats, his huge bone,
his squeaky santa toy and walks. He also loves just staying at home and
curling up for naps. Niko is a very, very happy boy now that he is in a good
home, and he is the love of my life. I don't know what I'd do without my boy.
