This
is my Grand-puppy Chase. He is named after Chase Utley of the
Philadelphia Phillies Baseball team. He is certainly the superstar of our
family! My son and his girlfriend bought him from a very nice family who
breeds Goldens. When they went to pick him out from the litter he came
immediately over to them and started cuddling and licking them, so they knew
he was the one. And I think they made the perfect choice.
He is such a smart puppy. His first day home he learned how to "do his
business" on the puppy pad and has never had an accident. He is now seven months
old and rings the bell hanging on our front door when he needs to go outside.
When he was two months old he learned many tricks. He can sit, give you his
paw, give you a high five, speak, spin, lie down, play dead and roll over.
When it is mealtime, he will sit there and stay until you tell him to "go get
it". Now that he is little older, he does his tricks when we show hand
signals to him instead of speaking the commands. It is so funny! He loves to
have his teeth brushed with the special doggie paste and he drinks the water
directly from the bathroom sink. I'm just waiting for him to rinse and spit
out! I wouldn't put it past him!
We all love him although our three cats, Potter, Zoe and Jolie are not too
fond of him. There is never a dull moment in our house especially when Chase
"chases" them around the house. We really did choose the perfect name for
him. He really is a special dog and we are looking forward to him growing
into a handsome full grown Goldie!
