This
is my pretty girl Sheba. Sheba was a "freebie" who was given to me by
someone who couldn't handle her rambunctiousness and high energy level.
I'm not sure of her mix but I think she's part Husky and part Golden
Retriever so I call her my Golden Husky. Her Husky traits are more
dominant and she lives up to the saying that "a lonely Husky is a
destructive Husky." One day while I was out, I came home to find paw
prints in the kitchen sink so I knew she had been standing in it. I have
no idea what she was doing there, but I'm sure she had a great time doing
it. Sheba thinks the kitchen is her toy chest and loves to counter surf
for spatulas, wooden spoons, Tupperware and any other utensils that are
left laying around.
When she's not chewing on things she found in the kitchen Sheba loves to
run and play with her younger brother Rocky, a St. Bernard. Sheba is
definitely an alpha dog. It's very funny to watch her grab Rocky by his
jowls and body slam him to the ground. (Actually Rocky lets her knock him
down by rolling over.) Sheba also loves going to the Dairy Queen in the
summer for her vanilla ice cream cone which she hasn't learned to eat
properly. She likes to eat the cone first before eating the ice cream, so
she ends up making a big mess.
Although Sheba is very independent, she is also very friendly and I love
her dearly.
