This
is our Farley Joseph. He is a Rat terrier and Schnauzer mix, so most
people have to ask what kind of dog he is. Farley has been the protector of
the family for several years. He likes to sit in the bay window and keep watch
over everything. His eyes are a warm, loving brown. He lives with two other
dogs and four cats. If any of the cats begin to fight, Farley rushes over to
stop them. He hates when any of us fight. He loves to race around our large
fenced in backyard. He also loves to swim in a lake near our house. He loves
to hunt small rodents and can easily catch rabbits and mice. Once, he ran up
the side of a large tree in our backyard and pulled a chipmunk from a branch
that was ten feet up. Recently, we lost a dog that had been his best friend.
She is buried by a willow tree and under some forget-me-nots in the back yard.
It is not rare to see him sitting by her grave with his head down. He is very
smart and understanding and I love him more than the world.
