This
is my Cairn terrier, JT, short for "James Travis". He's also known as JT
McGee, Geeser, and just Gee (with a hard "g"). We bought him from a breeder
in 2004; he was born just after Thanksgiving in 2003. He is easily the best
dog I have ever owned. He is good natured, loving, and cuddly. Cairns aren't
supposed to be lap dogs, but JT evidently didn't get that message. He doesn't
like to be picked up, but he will happily climb into your lap on his own for
a scratch and a nap. He has seasonal skin allergies, and when he's having a
flare-up, he likes nothing more than to have his humans scratch him just
above his tail. In fact, if you get tired and stop, he will "say", "No, no,
no..." It's so funny. Sometimes, it sounds like he's saying "Oh, no."
However, he has had cortisone shots, taken prednisone, etc. and he's better!
We adore our JT McGee and hope to have him around for many years.
