Hi everyone!
My name is Shayna, and I am all about love! I am not only adorbs, I am smart,
happy, comical, scrappy and loads of fun. Everyone I meet, I love and the love
is always returned... I love to snuggle, I love to play fetch with any one of
my toys, including the kitchen towels I am always "finding"... or stealing, if
you will. In spite of my wee size of ten pounds, I am a walker... My mom takes me
for a mile or two every day, and I love exploring our "hood". I enjoy
greeting all the neighbors, and must stop to kiss each one. I love other
dogs, and am so very lucky to have two best friends, Gia and Arthur
(Maltese)...(see below, the three of us hanging' out this past July 4th, I am
on the right, G to the left, and A in the middle)... I love going to their
house and wrestling and playing. Much to Gia's chagrin, I am able to find
every single blue bone in her collection and gather them all onto the snuggly
while simultaneously guarding them from her... I do it on purpose to mess with
her head, and prolong our fun and games. I also love doing laps around my
living room, which is apparently a riot because everyone laughs at me, which I
eat up. I am a born entertainer, so I keep "lapping" until I collapse, roll
over and demand a belly rub for my efforts! I love cookies, and am sure to
get one when I go through my repertoire of tricks, such as sit, stay, shake
(both) paws, lay down (when I feel like it) and roll over, which when I am
feeling stubborn is what I respond with - for every command! I am so cute,
how could anyone resist me? My Auntie KP (Gia & Artie's mom) says I have the
softest hair in the world, and between you and me, I think she is right on -
and is yet another reason for my being so special.
(Mom here): Shayna has such a beautiful spirit. She makes everyone who meets
her giggle out loud! She is constantly wagging her tail, which when going full
blast, looks like a rear (car) window windshield wiper! She sleeps in the "big
bed", and does indeed believe it is her bed. She loves sleeping on her back,
with her paws in the air, and she frequently has dreams which make her 'talk"
in her sleep! Shayna arrived at the perfect time. We were mourning the loss of
our two beloved Bichons who passed away this past winter. I knew I had to
have Shayna the moment I met her, and she has, right from the beginning
been such a sweet, loving companion. She is quite the beauty on the outside,
and you can see & feel the immense size of her heart when you look into her
eyes! We hope we made you smile! Havanese day everyone!
