My
name is Maddie and my mom and dad adopted me from the local SPCA last fall.
I was very nervous when I first came home and had a hard time understanding
the rules - the most important one being that my bathroom was outside. They
were so patient though and now I don't have any more problems - at least not
with this rule. I still get on the furniture when they are not at home.
My mom and dad make sure I get three walks every day and they give me lots of
treats. I don't really like toys, but they did get me a special ball that I
play with. Because I have lots of energy and like to run, that that helps me
with my main job - keeping the dangerous squirrels out of the backyard. My
mom says I am very good at this. My favorite thing to do is go to the local
dog park. I've made lots of new friends there and see them almost every
weekend.
I am so happy in my new home and thank my mom and dad for picking me that day
at the shelter.
