My
name is Peanut. Mom and Dad rescued me almost three years ago. Dad was
watching the local news. The reporter was at the animal shelter showing this
big German Shepherd. Dad said that was just the dog they needed to guard
their fenced in yard at night. So Mom and Dad went to get him. When they
arrived, the attendant showed them the dog. The Shepherd was aggressive,
which is probably why he was turned in. Since they had other dogs, they
didn't want one like him, just in case.
On the way out, Mom saw me, all by myself, in a cement enclosure. She said,
"Let's get her instead!" Dad just smiled, and I came home with them. At first,
some of their other dogs weren't too happy about me being a member of the
family. Only, "Shadow", the pug, wanted to be my friend. Pugs like everybody.
After a short time, my bubbly personality won everyone over. This is a great
forever home. I have three sisters and two brothers. We all get along,
except the two brothers - imagine that.
There is plenty of food, we go on walks several times a day, and we sleep in a
bed. They should have called me "Lucky" instead of "Peanut." Mom takes
pictures of us all of the time. Here are a few more of me and my family. Life
is good, for all of us.
Your friend,
Peanut
