About Us
Benjamin, the Dog of the Day
Name: Benjamin
Age: Eight years old
Gender: Male Breed: Saint Bernard
Home: Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Benjamin was adopted through the Michigan Saint Bernard Rescue when he was three years old. He was in an abusive situation and was 100 pounds when he was found. Now five years later, he is 160 pounds and the biggest, sweetest baby you could ever imagine.

When someone describes the Saint as a gentle giant, that would be Ben. All he wants to do is give kisses, get hugs and snuggle in bed. He loves to play with his "girl" Gracie (another Saint) or his little sister Riley Mae (German Shepard). As long as the water bowl is full with fresh cold water life could not be better for him. He sleeps in the shower most of the time because he likes the ceramic tile being ice cold from the air conditioning and basically he lives in the bathroom. That is the coldest room in the house. Sometimes on a cool spring or fall day he can be observed sleeping on the couch in the screen porch but only if the temperature is below 70 outside.

We could not be more in love with this special Saint. He is truly a blessing to have in our family.
