Let
me introduce Bella Blue. Bella has been a member of our family for
five years now after being rescued, wandering around a state highway,
along with her siblings all at the age of six weeks old. Someone had just
"disposed" of them. All of the puppies were scooped up and all found
homes. We were lucky enough to adopt Bella.
She has been a delight. She has a pretty laid back personality and really
just enjoys being around her "people". She gets so excited when my husband
and I come home from work. She will "talk" to us until we give her a
proper "hello" which is a kiss or a pat on the head. In one particular
picture, Bella had decided to roll around in the freshly laid mulch that
my husband had placed under our tree. She seemed a little confused when we
refused her re-entry into the house. Bella's main "job" in our home is to
keep an eye on the squirrels. We have one particular squirrel that has
built a nest in our tree and torments Bella on a regular basis. She will
stand guard at that tree for hours on end hoping one day to catch that
squirrel!
Bella is such a gentle dog. There doesn't seem to be a mean bone in her
body. She enjoys playing with her "cousin" Peanut, a miniature dachshund,
and even though Bella weighs 35 pounds she never gets too rough during
play time.
Bella is always at the door awaiting us when we return home from work each
day. All the stresses of the day seem to disappear when we see that sweet
face. Bella has been such a joyful addition to our family.
We encourage everyone to please adopt from your local shelter. There are
so many wonderful animals out there like Bella Blue looking for someone to
love and to love them back. They truly are grateful and will reward you
with their unconditional love.
