Hi!
I'm Gigi... a "Rat-Chi." I have found a safe home after the hero from Animal
Services rescued me chained and alone in a yard when I was only ten months old.
One reason I'm a very special little girl is because when I was rescued, I
was only two days away from having a litter of puppies... I was a puppy having
puppies and being mistreated and neglected too!
After I was taken away by the hero from Animal Services, I given into
the care at the home of the veterinarian of the local SPCA. Dr. Jen took care
of me for five months. She helped me with my litter of five puppies. After I
raised my litter, she prepared me for adoption by giving me surgery and lots
of love and snuggles, and she grew to love me very much.
Dr. Jen found me a perfect home with someone who has been looking for a little
dog just like me! My new owner lets me sleep with her and protect her from
anything... leafs, birds, the cat... I will protect her at all costs! In
addition to being a good little girl, I have also been trained by my new owner
to not bark while I'm in the front yard or the car... okay I'm still working on
the car (skateboarders and bicycles bug me), but I'm almost cool with that.
Even though that is hard for me, I understand that we all need to have good
manners in our beautiful community.
My new best human friend and I have already completed two months of obedience
school and I love to learn new things. My best dog friend is "Monte" who is a
King Charles Spaniel. He lives across the street and we play almost every
day. I also go for walks and love to go to the beach and chase waves and sea
gulls!
I would like to add that in my town it is illegal to tether animals. All of
our communities should have that law! Thank you SPCA and Dr. Jen! I love you
and will be grateful to you forever!
