Hi
everyone, my name's Troy and I'm a lovable pitbull boy who lives
under the warm California sun. My favorite things are getting petted,
going to the dog park, wrestling with my husky brother Orion, eating,
cuddling, meeting new people and dogs, and getting endless belly rubs.
In fact, I love belly rubs so much that I will flop down and roll over
showing my pink tummy so you can give me a good rub down, even if I just
met you. I am a very well-behaved boy (or so my Mom tells me!) and know
how to sit, shake, high-five and lay down on command. I don't even pull
on my leash when Mom takes me out for walks! Am I not a good boy?
I live in a busy household with a Siberian Husky brother and four kitty
siblings, so every day there's something new going on. Sometimes my
brother Orion will decide to be mean and hoard all the treats Mom gives
us. Then I will sit next to him and bark directly into his ear until he
becomes so annoyed he just gives up the treats to me! Some people are
afraid of me although I can't understand why. All I want is a friendly
pet or a good, long belly rub, which is even better. I love everyone and
have never met a stranger; I hope I get to make a lot more new friends
in the future!
Hello, this is Troy's human Mom here. Troy is a wonderful dog and is a
great example of the American Pitbull Terrier breed. He loves people and
other dogs (and even cats and other small animals). Whenever he sees
somebody, he will run up to that person and wag his tail so hard that
his entire butt will shake along. He is a true "velcro dog" and must
have skin-to-skin contact; as a result, he loves sitting on any
available laps or at least leaning against people's legs in bliss. He
has never shown any signs of aggression to humans or animals (even when
his husky brother, Orion, is rough housing with him). Many people are
afraid of pitbulls because of the bad reputation they get, and I often
meet people who are scared of Troy whenever I take him out for walks. In
one instance, a lady was at the park with her toddler daughter and
approached me to ask me if Troy was safe to pet, to which I of course
replied yes. She seemed hesitant, but since her daughter wanted to pet
and hug Troy so badly, she let her while I held Troy's leash. Troy
merely flopped over on his back and thoroughly enjoyed the moment while
the toddler continued to hug, pet, and rub his belly and ears. Troy is
truly very much a loved member of our family and I would have it no
other way; I am thankful that I became a Mom to such a well-mannered,
loving and handsome boy as Troy. Hopefully you have enjoyed reading his
story.
