Hi!
My name is Melanie and my dog's name is Max. Max just turned two years old
in May. I was told he was a shepherd mix, but we are not sure. Me, Max and
the cats (who are his friends) live outside of Ottoville, Ohio.
My lab that I had for ten years died in Sept. 2008 and I was crushed and alone.
I went to Angels for Animals and "looked", because I was going on vacation
and didn't want to leave a new puppy alone. Max and his brothers and sisters
had just been dropped off and while they were so adorable, I figured they
would be gone by the time I got home. I went on vacation, got home on a
Monday night and Tuesday when Angels for Animals opened, I was there. I
looked at a lot of dogs, because I thought I wanted an older dog. None of
them were right. I took Max out on a walk, and it was love a first sight. I
think it was meant to be, because he was the only one left from his litter. I
left with him that day.
Since than, he has been the best dog. He is so mellow and gets along with
everyone: big people, kids, dogs and cats. When our cats have had kittens,
he treats them so gently and lets them chase him around the yard. He loves
car rides and goes everywhere with me. My mom runs a kennel and his favorite
place is to go out and visit all of his friends. He has even gone up to a 4-H
meeting and was a model for my mom to demonstrate grooming, the kids loved him
and he loved all of the attention.
I could have not ask for a better dog and my life would not be complete without him.
