We
got Mimi on June 14, 2009 from a group called Greyhound and Friends Inc. She
wasn't really a racing dog so they just put her up for adoption. She like to
play a game called "I'm not taking my medicine." Here is how she plays it: we
have to give her medicine in the morning for her to stay healthy and have a
nice coat, without it she was itching herself a lot. So we wrapped her
medicine up in deli cheese and she eats the cheese and doesn't take her
medicine. So we have to get Mimi some roast beef when we shop, because she
takes her medicine with roast beef but not with cheese. Mimi is also on a raw
food diet (she eats raw chicken, tripe and stuff) instead of kibble and she
loves it very much.
She is the best Greyhound in the world! She has a couple of tricks I can tell
you about. She knows how to do Sphinx mode (like lying down). She also rubs
her nose in the carpet when she is done with dinner. Mimi is one of the best
dogs because all she does in lie down in her crate and she also likes to play,
but not all the time. She plays with her five toys: a goose, raccoon, squirrel,
chipmunk, and hedgehog. She plays with them every day.
My pet is special because she is the only greyhound in my neighborhood. She
has lots of friends, though, they are Sandy a golden retriever, Stanley a
golden lab, Chloe a beagle, and Dakota a standard poodle. Mimi runs in our
backyard (and don't worry it's a fenced-in yard.) and she goes like crazy. She
likes to run so much now we have bare spots in the yard because of her.
Mimi is a good girl and she is our little girl. Mimi is a one-of-a-kind dog,
and that is why she is so special. Mimi is very special to our family, we are
proud to have her.
