Boomer
is a very sweet dog, he is always full of love and cuddles. Most
people that meet him see him for who he is; a friendly, well behaved dog.
However, due to the poor (and unfair) reputation that his breed and other
bully breeds like his have, some people judge him before they get to know
him. Some people believe the untrue stereotype that he is an aggressive,
"evil" dog that will harm them, their children, and their dogs. I am always
happy to let people meet him and see how nice he is, hoping that he might
change their opinions of these dogs.
His personality is very goofy and spirited. He is very playfull and always
bringing us a toy to throw for him (including at this very moment, haha). He
also loves to play soccer, he's been known to beat many serious and skilled
players! However, he does have a tendancy to pop balls, putting an end to the
game! He sometimes gets comfused about if he is a cat or a dog, climbing the
cat tree and all over the furniture too! He's a very cuddly buy, always ready
for a good nap in the sun. He is very clever, he can do quite a few tricks
and commands; sit, stand, down, stay, over, hop up (jump on the nearest
elevated object), "be a bear" (stand on his hind feet with his front feet in
front of him), take a bow, speak, shake a paw. He will also fetch many of his
toys by name. He also rings a set of bells that hang from our doors to let us
know when he needs outside. We trained him using the clicker training method.
Boomer is the best!
