This
is my dog Nova. She is the older sister of Teela, a yellow tabby cat,
and Dr. Zaius and Cornelius, two male mallard ducks. She lives in Snellville,
Georgia in the good old USA.
When I first saw Nova she was in a cage at the ASPCA, and I was not in the
market for a dog. i had lost my cat a week prior and was looking for her, but
when I saw Nova's cute brown face, and big puppy dog eyes I could not resist.
After a few short minutes with her I knew she had to be mine. I took her home
and she was an immediate hit with everyone she met. She was also very wild.
She would constantly get loose and run amok around the neighborhood. Once
while stopped at a red light she jumped out the window to chase down a
squirrel. Over the years she has calmed down a bit, and turned out to be the
world's coolest dog. She is very loving, and will always snuggle with me
whether on the couch or in our bed. Whenever I get sad or depressed Nova can
always tell, and she will come over and sit next to me and cry until I feel
better. She is very playful, although she does not like other dogs that much.
Her favorite game is to fetch the ball but not let you have it back.
When I first got her a little sister, Teela, Nova was only interested in
eating the cat. Soon though they began to grow on each other and have become
fast friends. No dog in the neighborhood messes with Teela for fear of her
big sister Nova. Nova is adored by all the neighborhood kids, who all shout
out her name whenever she walks by. I am here to tell you there is no better
dog anywhere. She is my best friend and I wouldn't trade her for anything.
Nova is number one to me.
