Say
hello to Layla. Two years ago, she was a day away from being euthanized in
a southern high-kill shelter. Luckily, she was rescued by a German Shepherd
rescue based here in Wisconsin. She is a German Shepherd, Greyhound, five other
breeds (per the DNA test). Nine days later, she became the center of attention
for two people who love and provide her with anything a dog may need.
Layla may have had a rough life before being rescued, but you would never know
it by the way she acts around people now. She always impresses those who meet
her with her demeanor and when she starts performing her tricks... crowds
gather. I swear if she had thumbs, we could teach her how to drive. Her days
are now filled with running at the dog park (always the fastest dog around),
walks, rubdowns, and chasing anything that flies, scurries, runs, or hops.
Layla is still here because of some hardworking people dedicated to finding
homes for dogs who may otherwise not be around anymore. Support your local
