Koda
is a special dog because he is super cute, ha ha! But really, our dog is a
big sweet baby who follows me wherever I go and loves to lay by our feet most of
the time. He loves to go for "weinie walks" aptly named because he gets pieces
of wieners for treats when he obeys during his walk/training sessions. He also
loves to play "cheese ball" which is softball where he is always the outfielder
that stands by the pitcher and chases after the ball after it is hit. When he
brings the ball back to the pitcher, he gets his cheese treat. Sometimes he will
even chase the batter around the bases with the ball in his mouth, it's very
cute.
He did not understand, by the way, why we were not as happy when he brought us
that piece of dead fish one day at the beach. I supposed to him it was as
exciting as a ball, or a sock, but he just didn't get why we did not want to
play with it!
He does get tired out easily, and when that happens the ball never makes it all
the way back to the pitcher, he seems to drop it several feet away and then lay
down. He's quite spoiled and a little bit lazy for an aussie. Mostly he's just a
big goofy goober trying to make sense of the human world and when he fails it
hurts his feelings terribly. Socks are Koda's favorite toys, he will take our
socks from anywhere he can find them and sometimes will get four or five in his
mouth at one time. He thinks everyone wants them, even my other dog, so he will
play keep away as long as he can before someone makes him drop them. Koda is a
great dog, but he's not perfect. We love him anyway.
