This
is Gunther, our little boy. After our last two dogs went to Rainbow
Bridge we waited eight months to get another puppy. Gunther has helped to
heal our hearts and brings us such joy every day. When we brought him home
he was just a twelve-pound ball of fuzz, now he's 70 pounds and still
growing. He learned how to sit, lay down and roll over all by the time he
was nine weeks old. He is very smart but can also be very naughty. He
loves to steal socks, slippers and hats. Everywhere we go people comment
on how handsome he is. Now he expects to hear this all the time and thinks
that everyone wants to meet him. He loves people and will cuddle up to
anyone who will pet him. He's been taking classes for a few months now. He
loves to air scent, this is when he goes and finds his Momma or Poppy
hiding in the woods by using his nose. He also completed the Canine Good
Citizen class, although he has yet to pass the official test. His latest
class is hiking, he gets to wear a backpack and he feels very important
when he wears it. Gunther loves to play ball and knows exactly what it
means when you say "Go get your ball". We are so happy to have Gunther in
our lives, the house just didn't feel right without a dog.
