This
is Snickers. I found Snickers roaming the streets at just eight weeks old.
She had been dumped there with her sister. After finding her sister a new
home, I had so fallen in love with this little mutt I couldn't part with her.
She is such an incredibly loving and happy girl, and she is absolutely in love
with her older sister, Indica! They are like mirror images of each other!
Despite being 40 pounds of pure love, she absolutely is convinced she is a lap
dog. She also thinks she makes a fine blanket for her older sister, and will
often lay on top of her sister and fall asleep! The most amazing thing about
this little mutt is how she's taken to agility like a fish takes to water. At
her first trial in 2008, despite still not being totally comfortable with the
weave polls, she received two first place ribbons. You should just see her
face when she is on that course! Nothing but pure joy! And she is so fast...
running like her little tush is on fire.
When she isn't on the agility course, she makes a great running buddy and just
loves to go hiking and camping with us. And as an added bonus, she is the
absolute hit of the party when we visit local nursing homes! This little mutt,
with such an unfortunate start in life, has absolutely stolen our hearts and
is very much our "little girl."
