Zena
is special because she is such a sweet bulldog! She so affectionate and
thinks she is a lap dog. At 90+ pounds, that's a lot of dog on your lap! She
loves to play. She loves to run around the backyard trying to get her (much)
older brother Hercules (an eleven-year-old Boston Terrier) to chase her. She loves
visitors (although we're working on her manners, 'cause she's a jumper!). She
also loves to chew/nibble on toes - everyone's toes: her own, Hercules',
Mom's, Dad's. If toes are nearby, she'll try to nibble on them.
Zena spends a lot of her time napping. She has many dog beds to choose from
and usually prefers the one that Hercules is already occupying.
When Zena's not sleeping, she has a lot of energy. To help her get enough
exercise in, she takes daily walks on the treadmill. She really enjoys it -
even when I turn it off (after she's been on for twenty minutes or more), she'll
just stand there on it and look at me and then look down at the treadmill.
"Why did you turn it off, Mom?" she seems to be saying!
