I
do think there is a reason dog spelled backwards is God. I believe they are
true gifts to humans. Ladybird came into our lives three years ago. She is a
basset hound/collie mix and is full of love and affection. She is extremely
smart and also extremely attached to me, her mommy. She knows that at around
6 p.m. every night, I should be home and waits at the door for my truck to
arrive. I have to sit on the couch for a good fifteen to twenty minutes holding her until
I can get on with my evening, which usually revolves around Ladybird and her
brother Hemi-Cuda.
She loves to run and play fetch and she loves children and other dogs. She is
very friendly and will go anywhere. She also enjoys agility, but we don't do
it seriously. She will go through every trick in the book without a problem.
The best trick we have taught her is her "inside" voice versus her "outside"
voice. It's entertaining to have her and Hemi play with a tug toy or a dog
puzzle. My mornings start with her wet kisses and end with her cuddles. She is
a baby and I don't believe she knows she is a dog.
