Daisy
was abandoned at five months old at the local SPCA and has been
living with us for almost two months. When I met Daisy at the shelter,
she came right to me. She was very interested in who I was and what I
was doing there. When I walked away she stuck her ear out of the kennel
so she could hear or maybe get a small glimpse of me. As I walked around
meeting some of the other dogs in the room she never pulled her head
away from the door, waiting for me to come back. I asked to meet her and
we hit it off right away. She already knew that she wanted me to throw
the ball for her. She brought me one after another until I had every
ball in the meeting room in my lap.
Daisy is fiesty but sweet. She does nothing but want to play and sleep.
Ears forward = PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!! Ears go back and you can't drag
her out of bed. Daisy already knew how to HIGH FIVE. So she taught us
how to do it. You could put your hand open palmed in front of her and
she would reach up and get it. She'll do it with either paw every time
you ask. We are very lucky that she picked us to come home with. She is
very smart and extremely sweet. She is currently going through training
and really likes to go to doggy day care to play with other dogs on
Tuesdays and Thursdays. She even has a special friend there that she
plays with almost exclusively. As you can see her mother is already
getting her ready for her first Halloween.
