Gracie
came into my life three years ago. We found her at Gander
Mountain, a hunting store, where the breeder had a whole litter of
puppies. I knew that she was the right one for me from the start. Gracie
gets ear infections that are hard to control and get rid of. The first
month we had Gracie, she also had to get stitches because a larger dog
at the dog park bit her leg.
Gracie and I go on walks very often, and she even gets to go on runs
with my dad when he is up to it. Gracie has a huge appetite, eating
Beneful dog food, treats, edible chews, and - when she can find one -
socks. Gracie will run around with socks in her mouth and expect some
one to chase her around, but I just take them from her mouth. Then she
runs off and sits in the couch in the front room that she has officially
claimed to be her own.
I cannot imagine life without Gracie, and only having our twelve year
old shetland sheepdog, and our ten year old yellow lab who thinks she is
still a puppy. Gracie gets along well with our lab, but the sheltie does
not like her. At night, Gracie takes up the whole queen size bed that I
have. When she sleeps, she runs as if dreaming heavily. Gracie is my
best friend.
