Tippy
is part Border Collie, part Australian Shepherd, part Husky and part
Retriever. She is from Minnesota and loves winter!
Tippy is a very happy dog!! She is spoiled rotten! When we got her she had
been on the streets for most of the winter. A friend of ours found her
near a homeless shelter and the men at the shelter had been feeding her
but could not bring her in or keep her. We got the call, picked her up and
planned to bring her to the Humane Society the next day. That of course
never happened. When we got her home she was so dirty and smelly but also
had the biggest brown eyes and was the most pathetic dog we had ever seen.
Someone had obviously abused her because when we called her she came but
she came crawling with her tail between her legs. Literally. Consequently
we never let anyone hit her and hence the spoiled rotten part.
She loves to go to the off leash dog park near our home and loves to play
with other dogs. "Chase me or I'll chase you" is her favorite game but
she'll wrestle if that's what you want to play. Winter is the best, she
loves to eat snow but even better is rolling in it. She loves everyone and
while at the park makes sure to check everyone to see if they have any
treats hidden their pockets. If they do she sits in front of them if they
move she moves with them and just keeps the big brown eyes focused on the
pocket with the treats. She is a great dog she has more friends than most
people and everyone who meets her loves her. She is very gentle and will
take a treat from a baby without touching their fingers. She is very
affectionate and believes that if you have a free hand it should be
petting her.
