Hello,
my name is real name is Sir Dukington, but everyone calls me
Duke. I am a pure bred Bassett Hound and I am four months old. My mommy and
daddy got me as a Christmas present when I was just four weeks old. People
tell my mommy and daddy it's very young to take me away from my parents,
but the owners didn't want me and I was very young to be separated from
my mother. But mommy and daddy took very special care of me and fed me
formula to give me vitamins and nutrients which my body needs. I weighed
no more than five pounds when I moved into my new home, and now I am going
on thirty pounds. I am a growing boy.
Sometimes my nose gets me in trouble, but I can't help it, I love the
different smells that are out in the world. I love going for walks and
chasing ducks in the park. When my daddy comes home from work, we like
to play Tug-o-war with my ropes and I get to chew on my doggy treats. Yum! I
can't wait to see mommy and daddy's other babies some day so I can play
with them too!
