This
is my dog, Max. He is special because he is a big goof ball and makes us
laugh. We got Max from our local Humane Society when he was one and a half
years old. After a while we figured out that he had been abused by prior
owners. But with lots of love, work, and gentle but clear and consistent
discipline he has come a long way.
Max loves to go on walks with me. The farther and more frequent the better
as far as he is concerned. When we get back and he is tired out, he opens
his mouth and smiles, he is just so happy.
I think I need to get a fluffy clown collar for Max, because he is so goofy
and just loves to be the center of attention and entertain us. He loves to
play tug-o-war and catch, but his best tricks are turning circles and
"speaking" (howling) on command. He is especially eager to do these tricks
before getting fed. When he gets very excited he hops and bounces around on
his long legs. He is a pretty big dog for a Dalmatian, (almost 70 pounds), so
its a good thing we have plenty of room in the kitchen where he eats!
He is very affectionate with us. He sleeps on our bed right between us, and
when I get home from work he gives me "kisses" on my face and nibbles the
tip of my nose if I let him. It always makes me laugh! I don't think I
could have asked for a better friend.
