Doc
came in to our lives in November 1998 right after we had just lost
our eighteen-year-old son in a tragic car accident. We also lost our dog Tish
(ruptured uterus) two weeks after my son's funeral. She had been very sick
and no one noticed with all the commotion. Our seveteen-year-old son's girl
friend asked if she could buy our family a dog to help "heal" our
family. I, of course, said yes as long as it was a small house dog.
Well, my son called and said they had found a Beagle/Chihuahua puppy and
she was the one. I thought... Beagle? that couldn't get real big.
Well, Doc is just the right size and the glue that holds our family
together. She is the kindest, most loving, sensitive, well behaved dog.
She will comfort you when you're down and laugh with you when you're
happy. She seems to know when and where she is needed. She was born to
be in our family. She played a huge role in healing our family.
