Rosy, the Dog of the Day
Name: Rosy
Age: Six months old
Gender: Female Breed: Chihuahua, toy poodle
Home: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

This is Rosy from Halifax. She is a Chi-poo (Chihuahua toy poodle) mix and she weighed just 3 1/2 pounds at twelve weeks, when the bottom photo was taken. She is special because she is as sweet as her name suggests. She rarely barks and has a happy tail for all of her family.

She loves to play with her brother Nacho who lives with her Mommy's Sister and on the week end when Mommy does not go to work she likes to have a snuggle on the couch beside Mommy early in the morning before anyone else is up. She hugs and kisses everyone except the mailman because even though she is teenie tiny, she is still very brave. She likes to play outside with Dada on the sunny days and loves to go to the park so she can meet new friends and dig in the sand. The human girls in the house love her very much too and she likes to play fetch with them on the rainy days and before bed.

My sweet little Rosy is a very loving affectionate gentle soul with kisses for everyone. When she meets a new friend she stretches down to the floor and puts her ears all the way back to say "I'm yours" She is now six pounds two ounces, ears are straight up, spayed and very well behaved; but only know stay, come, sit, up and lay down. She loves to have a nap with me or one of my two daughters and spends most of her play time with the mini dachshund next door, Guinness, who is seven days younger than her. She likes to play 'monkey in the middle' with my six year old daughter. when I throw the ball to Rosy she retrieves it and has to get past my daughter to bring it back to me. Speed and agility are her best skills in this game, but sometimes she plays it smart and goes around the house through another room to get to me. There is almost always someone home with her so she whines terribly when we leave without her. She is a tough little camper and very brave when she hears a strange noise though, and barks fiercely when called on to defend her family against a blowing leaf or noisy washing machine. :)
