This
is my little Lady. She is a fifteen month old Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel who weighs under ten pounds and is every bit a little Lady. It
got quite cold in Apex, North Carolina this winter so she needed to look
her best for our daily walk. Her Aunt Cheryl made her a special sweater
to ward off the chill. Lady loves to sit on my lap and is very loving.
She thinks she is making a definite fashion statement with her new
outfit.
Lady is a very sweet and affectionate girl. Her favorite place to lay is
across my shoulders when I am sitting on the couch. However, even 9 1/2
pounds can get heavy after a while. Since she is still a puppy, she does
have a very playful side and can be relentless with other dogs and
children. She is not afraid of any dog and will walk right up to the big
boys in the neighborhood and try to lick them. They often back down from
her, which is a riot to witness.
She took her first obedience class and was the smallest one there so
perhaps that helped with her socialization. She can shake hands and
fetch and obeys all commands except for come. That she does if she
happens to feel like it at the moment...not very often. Her favorite toy
has been a little stuffed animal of the dog Tramp which I got her when I
bought the DVD of Lady and the Tramp.
