Harley
is a very special dog and is certified as a therapy dog. He is a
Goldendoodle dog - that's a Golden Retriever/Poodle mix. He goes each
Sunday to Ronald MacDonald House and the local nursing home in our area.
He has made many people happy and the best experience we have had is
when a mother staying at Ronald MacDonald house of Long Island hugged me
and said, "thank you for bringing Harley to visit with us this is the
first time I have seen my daughter smile since my son went into the
hospital 51 days ago".
He is the best of both breeds - smart, and sociable. Even his height is
an advantage - when he visits the nursing home since he is so tall no
one needs to bend down to pet him and he puts his head in their lap so
they can pet him easily. He is loving and just wants to be around
people all the time.
