This
is my nephew, Tank. He is my sister's dog and I think that he's
wonderful. Tank is the father of my two Basset Hounds, Diesel and
Payton. Whenever his Mom and Poppy come over he comes along to play with
his sons. Tank's daughter (Casey) lives with one of our friends so we
like to get them together for play dates... usually once or twice a week.
Tank is a very picky eater. His food is always down and full but instead
of eating a lot at once he nibbles throughout the day. A lot of people
that see him think that he is underweight but they are wrong. According
to the vet that's just his build. Tank is very long and is thin behind
his ribs... that's one of the many shapes of Bassets. Both of his sons
have different builds as well... Diesel has a short body (in length) and
is thicker in his mid-section so he appears to be chunky, although he
isn't. His shape is more like his mother's. Payton on the other hand has
a build sort of like Tank's but isn't as long or as thin... a happy medium.
Tank just got a new baby brother. His name is Bo and he is an eight-week-old
Rottweiler. Right now Tank kind of bullies him although he never hurts
him... however I don't think the bullying will last long! Bo will out
grow him in a couple of months. Tank is trying really hard to be a good
big brother considering he's always been the center of his mommy's
attention and now he has to share.
We all love Tank very much and if you've ever met him you could tell
just how spoiled he really is.
