Bitsy
the beagle was adopted when she was three months old from the
local SPCA. We fell in love with her the minute we saw her! She has
been a wonderful addition to our family. Bitsy is a good-natured,
fun-loving dog who enjoys a good walk as much as she loves her own back
yard where she patrols for rabbits and squirrels. Her nose knows every
inch of ground in our yard.
She is a great traveler when we vacation. The ride in the car provides
hours of good napping opportunities. She also has her own cozy bed in
our room but prefers to sleep in our bed - in and out of the covers all
night! We don't get much sleep some nights but she sure does! We are
very blessed to have such a good dog in our lives.
Bitsy loves the three S's-Sniffing, Snacking and Snoozing (pretty much in
that order!) Though she really doesn't know too many tricks, she was
taught by our good friend Amber how to use her paw to get dog treats out
of a "Doggie Gumball machine". She is actually quite good at using her
paw to operate the machine! Again, snacking is involved! Bitsy isn't
really a vocal Beagle. She will sit outside for "hours" just staring
out the door to come in - never barks to come in the house (of course her
20 minutes outside probably seem like hours to her!) She is a very
affectionate dog, she always races to the door to greet my husband John
and I when we get home from work-her tail is just a wagging a mile a
minute. She loves to go for rides in the car - even a short ride around
the block makes her day. Her favorite pastime is to go for a walk at a
local park. She is a very happy and good natured dog, maybe a wee bit
spoiled but we love her - she's our girl.
