Bruno
is ten weeks old in the large image, and he's a Bull Terrier. Our
hearts were broken only five months ago when our beloved Great Dane,
Tiggee, died suddenly at four and a half years of age of a heart attack.
We know she can never be replaced but Bruno's personality is so
different from hers that he has filled our hearts with a new love and
helped us to heal.
Bruno loves to be the center of attention and come with us everywhere we
go. Bruno is what we have come to learn is your typical Bull Terrier...
strong willed and independent, yet very loving and affectionate.
Bruno loves to play until there is no more energy left and then sleeps
like a log for hours at a time. He comes with us to our daughter
Gabriela's swim team practices and entertains the whole team with kisses
and tail wags that nearly knock him off his feet!!
Bruno loves to play with one of Gabriela's toys... an ankle jump rope
with ball and bell. He also drags his rope toy with ball on the end
around the house. Right now the toy is bigger than he is so you hear
this ball bouncing on our hardwood floors followed by an excited puppy
with it's rope in his mouth.
As always, we talk tough about the new pet having to sleep in their own
bed, but this time we didn't even bother to buy one!! Bruno sleeps with
between Mom and Dad in their bed or with Gabriela on her pillow.
It is readily apparent that he is going to rule the family with his
endearing smile and warm brown eyes.
As you can see in the smaller image, since our daughter, Gabriela, swims
competitively and spends about four hours each day in the water Bruno
has decided "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!!" He has gone from that
rambunctious puppy stage to a very sweet natured, loving dog.
He goes everywhere with us (as long as it's not too hot in the car) and
is really a big part of the family.
We just think he's cuter than anything!!!
