About Us
Milo, the Dog of the Day
Name: Milo
Age: One year old
Gender: Male Breed: Wired-Haired Dachshund
Home: Oxford, Alabama, USA

We adopted Milo from a breeder that could not keep him because he had an overbite. We love him and his overbite and trust me he can still eat. He absolutely loves cheese. All it takes is a little rattle of some paper and he comes running to get him a snack.

Milo is so spoiled he goes everywhere with us. He loves to go to circuit city and many other shopping places. He is so sad when he can't go. They just don't seem to let dogs go to restaurants yet. I would have to say he is with me all the time. He goes to work with me and spends the day with four other dogs. When he doesn't get to go we have a webcam that watches him and I can log on to the web and watch him. He stays at the door and waits for us to come home. When we come home he gets so excited that he paws at our feet till we stop and pay him some attention. He has learned to paw then rollover on his back so he can get his belly rubbed.

Milo loves to swim and go walking. But then again he loves to do whatever we do. He thinks he is a little human. And he still hasn't figured out why he can't sit at the dinner table with us the floor is just not good enough. Milo has also learned that he is too spoiled to sleep on the carpet or floor. He has to lay in your lap or in his bed. And he has to be on your level. So being a dachshund and short has not stopped him. He will put those puppy eyes on you and can't help but to pick him up and hold him. Milo has brought so much love and happiness to our lives we will love him forever.
