I
got Heidi when she was six weeks old to replace Cody a thirteen year old
Collie/Shepard that I had for twelve years whose passing left a huge empty
spot in my home. She has an older brother, Nick (Brittany) who is ten years old, but she
likes him a lot better than he likes her. She won't let him go anywhere
will out following him.
Her favorite toys are stuffed animal. She is just like a little kid as
she trys to carry them out to the yard when she goes even though she
knows she is not to take them outside. You really have to watch her or
the next thing you know is you see her laying out in the yard on her
back with a stuffed toy in her mouth, throwing it up in the air and then
catching it. It's like a game to her to see if she can get one past you.
She also likes to play ball with a tennis ball. She will pick one up and
carry it to you to throw. When you get tired of throwing it she will
throw it herself and then chase it. She almost always picks up a rock
from around the swimming pool or a stick from the yard and brings it in
the house. She also likes to swim in the pool.
When its bed time she picks up a stuffed toy and heads for the bedroom.
She has taught me to move over in bed because her spot is on the edge as
close to me as she can get. She has been a wonderful addition to the
family and I can't imagine life without her.
