Our
family adopted Kizmet a year ago from a local shelter, we think he
is about three years old. Kizmet's life didn't start off very good, he
was kept in a very small outdoor kennel 24 hours a day. His owner would
throw Kizmet food from a porch and used a hose to give him water. Poor
Kizmet had very little human contact. Neighbors had complained to the
dog officer, but because the owner was giving Kizmet food and shelter,
the dog officer couldn't seize him.
Kizmet needed a miracle and he got one! New neighbors moved in next
door and they were horrified at the life this sad little dog was having
to endure. They gradually earned the trust of the owner and he
reluctantly brought Kizmet to the shelter. Yeah, Kizmet was free!
Kizmet needed a lot of patience when we brought him home, but it was
well worth it. Kizmet is a great dog!!! He is very active and will
play, play, play! At night Kizmet will crawl under the covers with us
and snuggle close. We are so lucky to be able to share our life with
this wonderful little dog. We love our Kizmet!
