This
is my baby girl, Panda a.k.a. PattaBear a.k.a. Panda Bear. She's a
Australian Shepherd/Collie/Shepherd mix, that's our best guess. She is
the absolute best dog I'll ever have. I've always wanted a dog like her
and I believe there isn't another dog in this world like her. The love
this dog has for my family and me is incredible. I've never had a more
loyal friend. She follows me everywhere I go, listens to every word I
say, and she's never been to a day of formal training. From the day I
brought her home from her life at the animal hospital, where she had
spent the last two months in a four-foot by four-foot metal cage, she's had this
incredible gratitude and desire to please.
No doubt, she's had her share of "oopses." She had a major case of
separation anxiety which caused my parents to try and make me relocate
her when I went to school. After a week of being in a new home with a
different family, i couldn't take it anymore and went to visit her. The
next day, she tore down all the family's Christmas lights, ate a sack of
potatoes and ripped her bed to shreds. I brought her back home and she's
been home ever since. She knows where she belongs, it's incredible this
dog's sense of knowledge.
I'm away at school during the week, but every weekend as soon as i can
tear away from soccer and studies, I'm at home to spend time with my
baby. All week long she waits for me and I only hope she understands how
grateful I am for her patience. Every Sunday I can count on seeing her
bright shiny eyes to great me and her flowing tail wagging from side to
side. She knows I'm coming to spend that precious time with her. We both
know we're going to the forest preserve where we get to run and explore
with our best friend. I love her to death and can't imagine my life
without her.
