This is a picture of what I call my pride and joy. Just to look at him would be enough to know why I love him so much, but just let me tell you a little more about him. I still remember so clearly the day we stepped foot into the pet store and saw him. We were drawn to him immediately. His big blue eyes (as a puppy), his gorgeous brown color, his beautiful white markings. That could have been enough to say we would take him, but it wasn't until we held him and put him back that we realized he was going to be ours. After we gave him back and left the store, we could actually hear him crying all the way down the mall. That's what made our minds up.

Maybe it's because I am a true animal lover, but we treat Cleveland as if he is one of us. He goes everywhere with us. He does everything with us. He even sleeps with us. I could have never asked for a better dog. His personality is what makes him so unique. He loves people. He demands attention from any newcomer that walks in his house. Notice I say "his house." That's right. He gets the run of the house. Of course, it wasn't always that way. He had to prove he could be trusted when left alone, which took a good three years.

One word that describes him is "brilliant." He is a very fast learner. He will adapt to any new command that you teach him. Sometimes I think he outsmarts us. He listens very well, especially for dog treats, but he also knows what he can get away with. He loves toys. I have to say, he takes very good care of his toys. He doesn't destroy them like most 100-pound dogs. He enjoys them. He has two toyboxes: one inside and one outside. They are filled with all his favorites. He's not spoiled, is he?

He loves the game of frisbee. Cleveland is one of the best frisbee players and football players there is. All right, so he can't throw them, but he sure as heck can catch them. As for his inside toybox, it's filled with lots of stuffed toys. His favorite is his talking football. His biggest downfall, though, is that he doesn't know how to put them back when he's finished playing. Now, when he's not busy playing with his toys, he likes to watch t.v. in his spare time. His favorite show is Air Bud II, but he will settle for any animal show you want to put on.

To sum it all up--He's a lot of fun. He has brought so much love and joy to my family over these past five years, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I just hope we can experience many more years of joy with him.
