My
name is Max (short for Maxine). I am a very happy dog and believe
that I rule the roost! I am spoiled as anyone can see: I have a
special place on the couch that is all mine, my own comfy doggie bed in
the master bedroom (but I can still get up on my parent's bed if I
want), and plenty of treats throughout the day. Not only do my parents
spoil me rotten, but my Nana does too. I have a companion, Bud, who is
an 8 year old black lab mix. He lets me drive him crazy with my
incessant need for play and doesn't complain about it too much. One
of my favorite things to do is to "jack rabbit" around the house.
Anyone who has a Lab will understand what this means! Basically, I run
laps very fast and very low to the ground, occasionally using Mommy and
Daddy's bed as a launch pad. It's too much fun and allows me to burn
off my pent up energy. Recently, Mommy and Daddy brought home a human
baby and I've been told that I am very good with her and sweet. But I
can't wait until she can run around with me in the yard! Until then, I
don't have a lot of use for her (but she if fun to lick when Mommy isn't
looking and she always seems to drop pieces of saltines for Bud and
me)-- okay I guess she's not too bad. And I know that Mommy and Daddy
try to make sure that I still feel special since I was their first baby.
I have a good life and am loved by many.
