Bitsy
was a quivering lump in the middle of a very busy intersection
when I first saw her. Trucks and cars were swerving around her. When I
pulled onto a side street and came close to her, she came right to me
and sat in the front seat as I drove around the whole area looking for
an owner to come out calling her. When no one came, I took her home and
called local lost pet numbers and posted a "found" sign in the area and
waited for an owner to show up. When no one advertised for her or called
about her, we found ourselves getting very attached to her, and she
showed lots of previous owner's good training, we fell in love. She has
been with us now for over three years and we cannot imagine what life
would be without her. As you can see, she is right at home and enjoying
life immensely these days! We still are not sure what her age is, but
the vet guesses eight years and, as you can see, she is developing those
pesky cataracts! But she can see well still, especially when spotting a
kitty while taking her daily walk! Our wonderful big dog Rosie died a
few months ago, and Bitsy has helped us grieve and has tried to fill in
the gap Rosie left. As we are retirees, she makes our older years much
happier!
